Customizing
Menus in PSP8
This tutorial will teach you how to use some of
the basic customization
available in Paint Shop Pro 8 to change PSP's
menus - how to add or remove
commands, how to move items from one menu to
another, how to create keyboard shortcuts
for menu items, and how to create your own menus
and submenus.
Customizing
Toolbars in PSP8
This tutorial will teach you how to use some of
the basic customization
available in Paint Shop Pro 8 to change PSP's
toolbars - how to add or remove tools
from toolbars, how to move tools from one
toolbar to another, how to add
keyboard shortcuts to tools, and even how to
create your own personalized
toolbars.
Using
Selection Files in PSP 8
This tutorial will teach you how to set up your
selection folders in PSP 8 so
you won't get more than 1 set of selections at a
time. Once you have the
basic environment set up, it is no more
difficult than it was in PSP 7. It's just
done a different way. Using selections in PSP 8
is so much easier - you can
even preview them before you load them, and you
can control where they load on
your image.
Adding
Tutorials as Quick Guides in PSP 8 *** my
Favorite!
Many people have a difficult time printing the
many pages of tutorials, and
others don't like flipping back and forth
between screens to do a tutorial. For
some of us, by the time we flip back to PSP,
we've already forgotten what the
tutorial told us to do! Enter the PSP 8 Learning
Center and Quick Guides!
This is a new method of keeping the tutorial
right there in your PSP workspace
while you're completing its steps. What an idea!
This tutorial will show you how
to take advantage of this technology for any
current tutorial. I hope to
follow this tutorial up with one outlining the
basics of creating a good Quick
Guide tutorial.

Tutorial - Introduction to Version 8
We will begin by exploring the differences
between Version 7 and Version 8.
Fundamentally, the appearance of the tools,
palettes and other tool bars are
not substantially different. However, learning
the changes in v8 does require a
bit of time to become acquainted with the
differences from v7. Changes include
the location for certain features and there are
new looks to the palettes.
There are many new features and additions in
this version.
